Where is Tamboershoek located?
Tamboershoek is a remote farm near Fraserburg in the Karoo, outside Beaufort West in South Africa. It sits on a vast 5,000 hectare landscape surrounded by mountains and open plains.
How do I get to the property?
You will travel via gravel roads from the N1 near Beaufort West. The final stretch includes around 60 km of farm roads. A high clearance vehicle is recommended, although a 4x4 is not required.
Is the property suitable for low vehicles?
No, due to the gravel roads and farm terrain, a higher clearance vehicle is recommended for a comfortable journey.
What type of accommodation is available?
There are two options: a chalet that sleeps four and a historic homestead that accommodates larger groups with multiple bedrooms and living spaces.
